DJ <3 FOLK

The association Nod (Norr om Dalälven) and FolkYou are organzing a course to allow DJs to test using folk music from around the world. We teach them how to use DJ-ing equipment and techniques and possibilities for mixing different types of music. We also discuss how a song is built up and how the music feels to the body. The big question is: can folk music be used for club dancing and can a DJ play music at a folk music gathering? 

No prerequisite skills required. Bring music you like. 

The course will continue during the spring with open opportunities to practice and with access to DJ equipment. There will also be another instructor-led class. There is the possibility of continuing the course in Umeå, Malmö, Gothenburg or Stockholm. Registeration for the next course is to be done directly with the course instructor at the first class.
