Lyset i forsen

Lyset i forsen’s music has been described as a cheeky, intelligent, and beautiful. It first sprang from Dalarna Province’s song playing tradition, and has since taken on a feel of its own. Melancholy tunes and powerful reels, disco riffs and an upbeat tempo combine in a close ensemble that challenges old outlooks and fires the imagination. Tones ripple out from a place that is both elusive and familiar; outside time but still existing in the now. Using fiddles and voices, Lyset i forsen performs newly written, unwritten and time-honored music.
